Getting help through the Making Home Affordable Program

On March 4, the Obama Administration revealed details on the Homeowners Affordability and Stability Plan, designed to help millions of homeowners refinance or modify their mortgages.

Home Affordable Refinance

If you've been unable to refinance to lower mortgage rates, this program could help.

Information you'll need to gather for this program before calling us:

  • Monthly gross household income (recent pay stubs)
  • Most recent income tax return
  • Any second mortgage on your home
  • Additional monthly payment amounts on credit cards or other loans if you are carrying a balance

Home Affordable Modification

If you're struggling to make monthly payments due to an interest rate increase or a decrease in income, this program could provide you with more affordable mortgage payments.

Information you'll need to gather for this program before calling us:

  • Monthly gross household income (recent pay stubs)
  • Most recent income tax return
  • Your assets
  • Any second mortgage on your home
  • Additional monthly payment amounts on credit cards or other loans if you are carrying a balance
  • Description of the cause for your decreased income situation (job loss, divorce, illness, etc.)
